The Groovechasers are an experienced and versatile group of musicians playing a range of music which includes funk, jazz standards, latin, soul-jazz and blues. The band is available with a four, five or six piece line up. The six piece features two saxes, piano, bass, guitar and drums. The four and five piece versions can have a selection of the above appropriate to the venue.

The band got together, initially, to record some of Fred Cogger's original compositions. This produced the album "Dig a Little Deeper" which proved to be rather more successful than anticipated (see below) and generated a number of requests for live performances.

After their initial live performances in 2003, they quickly became established as and entertaining and exciting live band and have since appeared at many established Kent venues including The Brook Theatre, Chatham; The Medway Jazz Cellar, Central
Theatre, Chatham; Ballards Bar, Broadstairs; and the Grey Lady, Tunbridge Wells. The band have also appeared at the
